SpaceX’s Dragon Spacecraft successfully reached the International Space Station and docked itself on Sunday in a historic landmark event from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The spacecraft carried NASA astronauts; it is the beginning of the commercial space travel.

NASA announced the docking of the spacecraft on its official Twitter handles,
“docking confirmed! @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug officially docked to the @Space_Station at 10:16 are ET:”, the Tweet said.
The docking happened within 19 hours of taking off from the Kennedy Space Center. The crew in the ISS welcomed the astronauts of the launched spacecraft. The ingoing Astronauts will be part of the Expedition 63 Crew.

The launch is considered significant as, for the first time in almost a decade, humans have been sent to space from the United States. The SpaceX Crew Dragon Spacecraft carried Benken and Hurley, who are NASA scientists into space with its Falcon 9 rocket at 3:22 pm EDT on Saturday.
