Elon Musk made another sensational announcement that is grabbing eyeballs in the tech world right now. He has said that his highly secretive firm Neuralink, which works on the development of neuro-technology, is all set to present a working demo of a Brain-machine interface device.
Elon Musk Promises Neuralink To Showcase Brain-Machine Device
Musk even provided the exact time when the demonstration will be released, Friday at 6 pm ET. The Tesla and SpaceX chief has substantiated many highly promising tech innovations in the field of autonomous vehicles and space research; now, he has brought another wave in the neurotechnology.
Musk Informed Through His Tweet
Musk Tweeted that “Live webcast of working @Neuralink device Friday 3 pm Pacific” announcing the presence of the device. A lot of scientists and followers are curious about the invention and welcomed Musk’s Tweet.

Aiming for Great Innovation
Neuralink will reportedly demonstrate a brain-machine interface device. The tech behemoth is aiming to build a simple device which will help humans to control the computer and mobile phones with their mind. This device can be implanted with ease. He has many times stressed on the use of BMI devices to help humans tap the power of artificial intelligence that aids their brain.
Connected with Human Brain
Elon Musk’s Neuralink is looking to create a highly ambitious technology in which they want to connect to the human brain with help pf thin, flexible electrodes referred to as threads. Right now, the BMI devices use stiff wires, which can damage the human brain; however, flexible thinner than electrodes will be less damaging. Putting in the flexible and thin electrode is a challenging and delicate task, but Musk plans to do that with the help of a robot that works like a sewing machine.
Noninvasive Technology to Implant BMI Devices
The company also aspires to develop technology that can install the BMI as noninvasive methods, something like the Lasik treatment. Musk has earlier talked about the automated process for the BMI machines, which can cut the cost and eradicate the need for highly trained and skilled surgeons proficient in neurosurgery. Musk Tweeted that the Lasik approach to the brain device is still distant; however, the company may achieve that in a few years.
Details of Telecast Not Yet Out
Last year, Neuralink said that it would begin the clinical trials of the same by the end of this year; however, there are no recent updates given on the same. The details of the Friday event telecast are not yet out; however, watchers are curious, and most likely, it would be out on Neuralink Youtube channel.
