Philip Fasano will join insurance giant AIG as EVP and CIO in October, the company announced Monday. This is a newly created role reporting to president and CEO Peter Hancock.
Fasano joins AIG from Kaiser Permanente, where he held the same title. He will oversee AIG’s global information technology, including reviewing and updating technology systems and platforms, along with data management and security.
Hancock said in the press release:

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Fasano ran a consultancy. He also has worked at Capital One Financial, JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Financial Services, and Bankers Trust and is the author of Transforming Health Care: The Financial Impact of Technology, Electronic Tools and Data Mining.
