Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico is hiring 100 new customer service advocates to help serve its growing individual and retail customer business.
Hiring for the Retail Operations unit will take place through August, and the new reps will be based in the health plan’s headquarters at 5701 Balloon Fiesta Parkway in Albuquerque, said BCBSNM spokeswoman Becky Kenny.
BCBSNM has grown in the past year, adding new Medicaid members and buying Lovelace Health Plan, which had more than 100,000 members. During that time it has hired more than 500 people to support that growth.
“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico has seen a lot of growth and changes over the last 18 months, and we want to ensure we have the appropriate staff levels to best serve our members,” said BCBSNM President Kurt Shipley. “The unit will be instrumental for providing the excellent customer service that our members deserve.”
BCBSNM has 570,000 members and 1,252 employees, Kenny added.
The health plan is partnering with ChaseSource to help fill the jobs. Applications are available at chasesource.com under the listing for Albuquerque. Interested parties can also call 713-874-5844 for more information and assistance.
