Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA), the nation’s largest dental benefits provider, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jennifer Elliott as its new vice president of marketing.
In more than 20 years as a brand marketer, Elliott has built national and international brands and marketing programs for Time Warner, FutureBrand (a global brand strategy agency), The Standard Insurance Company and Cambia Health Solutions.
“Jennifer brings a wealth of diverse marketing experience to Delta Dental,” said Steve Olson, DDPA’s president and CEO. “She has worked with Fortune 500 brands around the globe and we are excited to see the impact of her leadership here.”
Most recently, she served as the vice president of marketing for Cambia Health Solutions, a nonprofit health solutions company based in the Pacific Northwest that is affiliated with BlueCross BlueShield. At Cambia, Elliott led the brand strategy, marketing, research and sales support areas.
Previously, Elliott was assistant vice president of marketing strategy for The Standard Insurance. Prior to The Standard, Jennifer worked in New York, London, Mexico and Dubai for over a decade in a variety of consumer marketing strategy and brand strategy roles for TimeWarner and FutureBrand. At FutureBrand, Elliott worked as a brand strategy and marketing consultant for top brands including MetLife, Unilever, Aflac, GlaxoSmithKline and the Mexican Tourism Board.
“Delta Dental is the leader in dental benefits,” Elliott said, “and I am thrilled to join the DDPA team and leverage my experience in both B2C and B2B marketing to continue building and evolving their brand.”
Elliott holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and a Master’s Degree in Communications from The New School in New York. She is currently working on her PhD in Communications and Marketing at the University of Oregon, where she has taught graduate courses in for-profit and not-for-profit branding.
An active member of her community, Elliott has served on various non-profit boards including the National Indian Child Welfare Association and the Native American Youth and Family Center.
