SALEM — Oregon’s health insurance exchange plans to open a call center in Salem with 50 permanent jobs and 100 seasonal jobs.
Starting in May or June, the workers will answer questions from people and companies about the Affordable Care Act.
The health exchange is called Cover Oregon. It was approved by the Legislature in 2011 to help implement federal health care legislation.
The Statesman Journal reports Cover Oregon is headquartered in the Portland suburb of Durham where a staff of 70 is expected to grow to 100.
