Two hundred new full-time jobs are coming to the Greater Cincinnati area over the next three months courtesy of Humana Inc. (NYS: HUM) , bringing the company’s total employment in the region to 2,200 by early 2013.
RightSource, Humana’s mail order pharmacy service, is hiring now for 200 new positions at its West Chester distribution center and Springdale offices. Positions will include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, inventory management, and shipping and packaging.
“These jobs represent part of a larger investment in our dream of helping people achieve lifelong well-being,” said Larry Savage, Humana Regional CEO. “By expanding our capacity to deliver state-of-the-art pharmacy solutions to our members, we’re continuing our evolution beyond traditional health benefits and helping them live life fully.”
This is the third major local employment announcement from Humana in the last five years as the Fortune 80 Company has grown its national membership. By early 2013, Humana will have grown from less than 800 employees at one location to 2,200 employees at three locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
RightSource is Humana’s prescription home-delivery service. The convenience of mail-order delivery and continued growth of Humana’s health plan membership have created increasing demand for RightSource’s services. Just one year ago, RightSource announced its expansion to new offices in Springfield Township.
“As we’ve grown our capacity to serve our members with mail order pharmacy services, Greater Cincinnati has proven to be an ideal place to expand our operations,” said Alan Martin, General Manager Operations for RightSource in Ohio. “This area is blessed with a large number of nearby pharmacy schools and a well-educated workforce that has allowed us to build a world-class customer service operation.”
RightSource has achieved URAC accreditation and Six Sigma quality ratings for efficiency and operational excellence.
