Reston-based Maximus has won a contract worth $41 million to help implement Minnesota’s statewide health insurance exchange and modernize its Medicaid program.
Maximus will lead a team of technology firms in designing and developing the Minnesota health insurance exchange, including a website that will allow Minnesotans to determine their eligibility for subsidized health insurance benefits, and shop and enroll in health insurance plans.
The Minnesota health insurance exchange development will include the deployment of StateAdvantage, a health insurance exchange solution developed through an alliance between Maximus and Connecture, Inc. . Other sub-contractors include IBM and EngagePoint, which was formerly known as Consumer Health Technologies.
The contract is expected to begin in July and run through March of 2014.
