T-Mobile’s US CEO Mike Sievert and President of Technology Neville Ray announced its Q2 Financial results and talked about the 600 Mhz based 5G network coverage expansion. The CEO of America’s biggest telecom operator boasted of the company’s supremacy in 5G in the US markets.
He said that “In the 5G race, T-Mobile is pulling way ahead…AT&T and Verizon don’t want you to see what’s becoming so painfully obvious. T-Mobile is miles ahead of both of them.”

He said that the 5G approach of T-Mobile is quite interesting, like a three-tiered cake having 600 MHZ coverage, 2.5 GHz Blending coverage, and millimeter wavelength that provides speed over One GPBS.
Leading Player in the Telecom Industry
They further added that in quarter 2 of 2020, T Mobile is leading the industry with high customer growth for 22 quarters continuously. It helps T-Mobile to establish itself as the steadily growing company in the telecom industry.
5G Internet to US Customers Across Cities
The CEO said that 2.5 GHz 5G is already working in markets in Los Angeles, Houston, New York, etc. He further said that by the end of 2020, the US customers would be able to access mid-band 5G in about thousands of cities.
Others May Catch Up Later
Sievert seemingly took a dig at the competitors and said in the 5G race they may catch up late. He said that the other players in the telecom industry might deliver countrywide 5G coverage someday. However, they will be relying on their LTE networks. He said that tools like dynamic spectrum sharing would compensate for the spectrum shortage.
