BNY Mellon, a global investment company has named Bridget Engle as their Senior Executive Vice President and new CIO (Chief Information Officer). Engle as CIO will take the responsibility of the BNY Mellon’s Client Technology Solutions group. She will also have the responsibility to set the strategic direction and also to execute the company’s technology agenda.
Bridget Engle named as new CIO of BNY Mellon
Engle responsibility in company’s Client Technology Solutions group that provides critical technology platforms and applications, which support company’s role as leading provider of technology solutions to financial markets, will be very critical. Further, in setting the strategic direction, Engle’s role as CIO would include advancing the company’s NEXEN digital investment platform. Accelerating its digital and agile development efforts, investing in and integrating industry-leading applications, and attracting and developing top IT talent.

Engle’s career before BNY Mellon
Engle has spent her past 30 years at big companies like AT&T, Lehman Brothers, DTCC, Barclays Capital, and Bank of America. She will gonna succeed Suresh Kumar, who has held the same role for over 5 years and will depart at the end of July.

Engle is a Forbes technology ‘Top Power Women’ and even listed in Crain’s ‘100 Most Influential Women in NY’. Further, Engle’s prior roles at Bank of America include Consumer Bank CTO (Chief Technology Officer), CIO of Consumer Technology and Operations. Most recently, she was the CIO of Bank of America’s Global Banking and Markets businesses.
