More patients chose CareOne for post-acute care than any other skilled nursing provider in New Jersey

October 18, 2018

CareOne announced today that more patients choose their services vs. any skilled nursing facility provider in New Jersey.* The market share data was provided by two, independent, data suppliers and is based on CMS skilled nursing facility claims processed in 2017. The data shows skilled nursing facility discharges, by hospital in New Jersey, for the reporting year. CareOne admits and discharges over 20,000 patients annually throughout its network of skilled nursing centers in New Jersey. The company is also celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019 and has developed a reputation for excellence in clinical care and customer service for patients requiring rehabilitation following a hospital stay.

CareOne signature services include an in-house therapy department at every location which features 7 day a week rehabilitation programs, as well as nursing services which run at higher patient to nurse ratios than the New Jersey and National average**. “We have a high rate of happy patients who return to our centers when they need care and who also refer their friends and family members”, stated Tim Hodges, CareOne’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Our number one referral source is word of mouth in the community from satisfied clients and that is exactly what we strive for. We also spend a lot of time, attention and financial resources surveying our customers via a third party surveying company – both when patients are with us and after they leave us to go home. We use the provided feedback to us so we can work to improve on our strong foundation.” Hodges continued “a big reason for our longevity is that we never rest on our laurels and are always seeking out ways to be better and to improve the recovery experience for our patients and their families.”

CareOne is also proud of the longevity of the employees who are the backbone of the company’s success. Toya Casper, CareOne’s Chief Clinical Officer stated “there are countless CareOne employees who have been here 5, 10, 15 years and more like myself who started in one position and grew as the company has grown to ensure we attract and retain the best quality talent in the communities we serve. Toya went on to say that “a great example of our commitment to excellence is our Certified Nursing Assistant certification school which has graduated over 100 CNAs this year alone. Instead of waiting for candidates like everyone else, we decided to do something about it and grow our own. The CareOne culture is one that encourages ideas and solutions so that we provide the highest level of care to the patients that we serve.”

Lizzy Straus, Executive Vice President of CareOne commented that “We are proud of the investment we have made in our centers, our people and our culture aimed at producing great outcomes and the world class customer service.” As a family owned and operated company, everything matters to us and to see this reflected in the number of people who select CareOne for their post-acute care makes it even more gratifying – I am lucky to have the incredible teams at our locations who make magic happen every day.”
