On May 29, 2017, Cerner Middle East & Africa launched the Cerner Masouliya Program. Cerner Masouliya means responsibility in Arabic, this program aims to develop local talent in the middle east region and also support nationalization programs.
Cerner Masouliya Program: Here Are The Highlights
1. On April 2nd Cerner Masouliya began with three trainees from the Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt.

2. With Cerner Masouliya programs the locals in the region would get the required knowledge in health care and information technology. It would also help them to develop their skills and also help their respective health care organizations transmute the medical system in their countries.
3. Cerner Masouliya is aligned with the initiatives of multiple governments in the Middle East. The focus of the program is to create employment opportunities for the locals and to prepare them to handle operational and strategic decisions across both private and public sectors.
4. Michael Pomerance, vice president and general manager of Cerner Middle East & Africa said they are proud to be a part of this initiative. It would help develop the talents of local individuals who want to improve health care in their countries and become future leaders. Pomerance also said:
“Cerner Middle East will provide training and experience for various projects, depending on the participant’s area of expertise and future career aspirations in the public or private sectors.”
5. According to Karim Abd Elhay, strategic business executive, Cerner Middle East, Cerner Masouliya is a bright opportunity for the trainees to gain knowledge that is high in demand and valuable for them. This would help their respective organizations to better manage and support their health care IT systems.
