In the present era, the demand for AI has significantly increased and Chatbots is one such invention that not only helps in grasping the user’s need perfectly but also fetch the effective outputs. The prime aim of the chatbot is to engage the user through meaningful conversations, and their success largely depends on the fact on how far they can go beyond catching basic language conversations that has a clear meaning.
The earlier inventions of chatbots such as Alexa, Siri and Cortana are some of the best examples of intelligent chatbots. So, which is the next advanced chatbot likely outdo the others? Let’s talk about Google’s Meena.
Google’s Meena
Not leading, but Google has been in the AI race. The Search Giant had launched the ‘Hey Google’ feature in smartphones that enables the users to get the support of AI efficiently. Now, moving one step ahead, Google has invented Meena that has 2.6 billion inbuilt contents and went through 341 GB of text, filtered from public domain social media conversations, which is larger than the ideal OpenAI’s GPT-2 model.
Apart from that, Meena went for 30 days of training during which 2048 tensor processing units were used. However, Meena is still very far away to match the real human behavior as the benchmark to meet is 100 million neurons and for that neuron connection, i.e. synapses are required and count for the same is 100.
What Meena can do?

Like other bots, Meena can understand the language and can go for the complex conversation as it is embedded with SSA technology; means the SSA will record the response and accuracy of the delivered content by the bot. Generally, bots engage the user by providing a sensible response irrespective of a specific one. But, Meena is one step ahead than other bots as it provides a sensible reply to the users related to the query.
Is Meena, the next future in the AI field?
The human brain grasps the knowledge from the surrounding and real-life experiences. Whereas, a bot, that is created in a lab with data from social media does not really match human intelligence. Meena is a great innovation done by Google, but for it to reach the level of the human brain is still a long way to consider. However, with Google, anything is possible!
