Campbell Soup Co. on Friday said Chief Financial Officer Craig Owens will retire on May 1 and be succeeded by Anthony P. DiSilvestro.
Mr. Owens, 59 years old, has served as finance chief and chief administrative officer since 2008 and helped lead Campbell’s expansion into new categories and regions.
The 55-year-old Mr. DiSilvestro has served in several executive roles at Campbell since 1996, most recently as senior vice president of finance. He has played a key role in revitalizing Campbell’s North American soup and simple-meals business, the company said.
Campbell Soup—which also makes Pepperidge Farm baked goods and V8 juices—has worked to turn around its soup and simple-meals operations while looking to expand its healthy beverages and baked-snacks businesses. The strategy has helped Campbell boost revenue recently. The company also has made acquisitions as it has sought to grow beyond its soup business.
