The nation’s largest supermarket retailer may be the ante when it comes to same-day grocery delivery.
Kroger Co. is testing a service that delivers grocery items within 30 minutes in two stores in the Greater Cincinnati area, reported the Cincinnati Business Courier. Called Kroger Rush, the service launched in the spring and is currently available to a limited number of customers who live within a three-mile radius of two stores near Kroger’s headquarters in Cincinnati.
Kroger’s website features a Kroger Rush FAQ page that describes the service as a “need-it-now delivery service, offering immediate order processing and quick delivery.” Available for Rush delivery are “need-it-now items,” consisting of “everyday essentials” that a customer may have a sudden need for. Orders must be placed within the Kroger Rush app.
