They still ship Luvs, Huggies and Pampers, but Amazon has put its Elements Soft & Cozy Diapers on hiatus after just six weeks for some changing.
In an e-mail to customers Wednesday, Amazon said it was pulling the in-house diaper line it launched in December to mind the gap and make “some design improvements.”
“We value your feedback on our products, and we’d like you to test the new diapers once available. Please expect an invitation soon,” the e-mail concluded.
And those improvements, according to a copy of the e-mail posted by GigaOm, will be “based on early customer feedback.” Very early — and often — customer feedback, one has to assume.

Those who’ve already subscribed to the Amazon diaper plan — delivered for no extra charge as part of its $99-per-year Prime service — will receive a $25 promotional credit on any product shipped and sold by the e-commerce giant.
With a 40-pack costing a mere $9.99, Amazon’s Soft & Cozy line was among the category’s cheaper alternatives.
No word, though, about either the price or the timing of Amazon’s diaper launch No. 2.
