The youngest hospital CEO in Oklahoma is making big changes at Cordell Memorial Hospital.
Cordell is about ten south miles of Clinton. Landon Hise, 31, has been on the job a year.
Cordell Memorial recently implemented the first “Telemedicine” machine in the state. That machine allows doctors in Oklahoma City hospitals to “check in” with patients via video, audio, and medical feed from those patients’ hospital beds in Cordell.
“It’s just like he’s in the room you know,” Hise said from a patient room at Cordell Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon. “And if you’re admitted to St. Anthony Hospital, you’re going to be seen by that same person, live and in-person. It is big for rural Oklahoma. It’s big for rural America,” he said.
