Physician practices ranging from North Carolina to California have implemented several Allscripts EHR for increased interoperability and revenue.
Eighteen new physician practices have tapped Allscripts EHR for the vendor’s ambulatory and population health solutions intending to improve operations and revenue for their respective health organizations.
Allscripts EHR connects all aspects of acute, ambulatory, surgical, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory services, the vendor described. It also aims to support all core care venues across the system by delivering a single patient record and features patient-centric capabilities that increase access and convenience.
Family Medical Associates of Raleigh, a family medicine facility in North Carolina, tapped four different Allscripts platforms: Allscripts Practice Management, Allscripts Professional EHR, Allscripts Payerpath, and the patient portal, Allscripts FollowMyHealth. The health facility, which caters to patients of all ages, said it chose the vendor to boost its revenue cycle and patient care.

Urology Centers of Alabama (UCA), the largest urology group in Alabama, implemented Allscripts Practice Management, Allscripts Professional EHR, Allscripts Payerpath, and the vendor’s patient portal. Having the facility’s 200-plus employees on one workflow was a prime reason to utilize Allscripts, said the medical group.
“Urology Centers of Alabama wanted to partner with an EHR provider that would allow us to continue our mission of providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered urologic care with integrity and compassion,” Jason Biddy, chief executive officer of Urology Centers of Alabama, said in a statement. “We feel confident that Allscripts will allow us to continue this mission and we look forward to a longstanding partnership.”
Staying in Alabama, Urology Associates of Mobile implemented Allscripts Professional EHR suite to boost interoperability and streamline the patient experience, the practice said. The facility provides urologic, urogynecologic, and urologic oncologic care at its six locations.
AllCare Health, a health organization, catering to Oregon’s diverse communities, selected the vendor’s practice management, Professional EHR, Payerpath suite, and patient portal.
“We picked Allscripts because they have all the tools our physician practices and management services organization need,” Greg Halsted, AllCare health director, said in a statement. “An integrated EMR, PM, clearinghouse, portal and telehealth are allowing us to streamline operations and reduce the need for third party connections.”
Staying on the west coast, Synovation Medical Group, in Pasadena, CA, tapped several Allscripts EHR platforms.
“We did a significant amount of due diligence during our vendor search, specifically around clinical, financial, and patient engagement operations,” said Damian Dyer, Synovation Medical Group chief information officer. “Allscripts showed they have a robust platform that can serve the needs of our growing organization.”
Synovation Medical Group is a medical practice management company that provides business support and consulting to healthcare organizations.
“Physician practices and clinics play a critical role in the care continuum and are currently facing significant challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Leah Jones, senior vice president and general manager of Allscripts Ambulatory, concluded.
Earlier this year, Allscripts attempted to give its population health management a boost when it partnered with MyndYou Inc., a science and AI neuroscience solution, to help monitor high-risk triage patients and reduce their chances of hospitalization.
The partnership between the two companies works to identify patient health risks in the home and then relay this information to the care team to intervene and prevent hospitalization.
Allscripts users can utilize MyndYou’s Cognitive Complexity Analysis to collect daily-activity and voice data to detect subtle changes in cognitive and behavioral functions. Once the tool flags slight cognitive or behavioral deterioration, the program contacts the care management team for potential intervention.
With this partnership, providers using Allscripts have full access to MyndYou’s care portal, mobile app, and virtual care manager. These three features intend to enhance remote patient monitoring and optimize triaging.
