UCHealth’s Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora were named earlier this week to the annual Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals list, according to a news release.
Also, UCHealth was recognized on the Watson Health 15 Top Health Systems list.
The lists were produced by IBM Watson Health and published by Fortune.
According to the news release, IBM Watson Health evaluates the hospitals based on clinical, operational and financial metrics produced via publicly available data.

According to Watson Health, these hospitals showed better survival rates, shorter lengths of stay, faster emergency department visits, lower inpatient expenses, higher ratings from patients, etc.
Poudre Valley Hospital has been recognized as a top 100 hospital in the study 14 times since 1993, according to the news release. Only two other hospitals in the nation have been recognized in the study 14 or more times, according to the news release.
This is the seventh year University of Colorado Hospital has been honored and the fourth time for Medical Center of the Rockies.
Also, recently Newsweek recognized University of Colorado Hospital and Poudre Valley Hospital on its World’s Best Hospitals list for 2020. And, earlier this year, both hospitals were named two of America’s 100 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades.
