During a hackathon project at Microsoft’s lob in Israel, a team of experts developed a bot to connect patients with clinical trials, according to Bloomberg.
While designed to be a chat bot, the Clinical Trials Bot allows patients and physicians to search for studies related to a specific disease. Users then are asked a series of questions that allows the tool to suggest clinical trials.
Microsoft is pitching the tool to pharmaceutical companies, as the bot can be used to find study participants.
