Perry County Memorial Hospital in Missouri will soon begin a Cerner implementation across all acute and ambulatory care sites.
The integrated Cerner Millenium EHR will enable providers at the community hospital to access comprehensive patient medical histories and share patient health data for improved care coordination. Additionally, patients will gain the ability to access their own EHRs, schedule appointments, and securely message physicians through Cerner’s patient portal.
“At PCMH, we live by our motto, ‘People care more here,’” said PCMH Vice President of Operations Chris Wibbenmeyer. “We have seen that Cerner shares in this sentiment, caring for and understanding the health care needs of our community.”
PCMH will utilize the Cerner CommunityWorks cloud-based deployment model to complete the implementation. The deployment model is designed to customize Cerner Millenium to fit the specific needs of community hospitals and healthcare organizations.

PENNSYLVANIA HOSPITAL IMPLEMENT ECLINICALWORKS CLOUD-BASED EHR
Doylestown Hospital recently transitioned to an eClinicalWorks cloud based EHR system to support the needs of its 169 providers.
The eClinicalWorks 10e EHR offering will help to improve care coordination for Doylestown physicians working in more than 50 specialties.
“The physicians and hospital administration of Doylestown Hospital continuously strive to pursue and deliver healthcare excellence,” said Doylestown Hospital CIO Richard Lang. “We needed an EHR that worked in tandem with our mission to provide community-focused healthcare throughout our system.”
The EHR offering allows community providers to streamline care delivery, improve hospital communication, and reduce hospital spending through increased clinical efficiency.
The cloud based platform will provide Doylestown hospital with a community wide longitudinal health record to give providers access to appointment schedules and patient EHRs on any device.
Additionally, Doylestown will utilize eClinicalWorks healow Messenger for patient outreach. Messenger supports functionality including chronic care disease management alerts and annual visit reminders. Patients can also access healow through their patient portal to monitor their own vital statistics and import patient generated information directly into their EHRs for provider review.
“Doylestown Hospital is dedicated to a high standard of patient safety and care quality,” said eClinicalWorks CEO and Co-Founder Girish Navani. “The successful implementation of eClinicalWorks 10e will allow Doylestown Hospital to continue down that path, with flexible technology focused on improving patient care.”
Doylestown Hospital includes cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, rehabilitation, and other services.
