GE Healthcare has been selected by the Egyptian government to supply 200+ hospitals with technology products. The deal is designed to help the hospitals across Egypt improve the healthcare services.
GE Healthcare 2.5 Million Project: Top 5 Highlights
1. Under the agreement with the Egyptian government, GE would bring 700 units of advanced technologies for more than 200 hospitals across Egypt. GE has agreed to complete all the installation by the end of this year.

2. 400+ pieces of technology have already been distributed to hospitals across Egypt.
3. These units would include-
- Company’s Discovery IQ PET/CT scanner
- Sound cardiovascular imaging platform to improve the quality of cardiovascular ultrasounds
- Carestation 620 an anesthesia system designed for the small spaces
4. GE Healthcare has also agreed to provide training for all those who will operate the technologies. This includes more than 1,200 doctors, technicians, and nurses.
5. According to the agreement, GE Healthcare would supply various technologies from its portfolio, to help with diagnosis and treatment follow-up. Diagnostic technology for oncology, neurology, and cardiology are few to name. Few of the technologies provided by the tech giant are being installed for the first time at the Ministry of Health hospitals.
