Inspira Health Network has selected EHR vendor Cerner Corporation for system-wide EHR implementation, according to a press release.
The New Jersey-based health system will adopt Cerner’s EHR offering to help bolster care coordination and delivery. Called InspiraOne, the EHR will unite 17 disparate health records currently deployed across Inspira’s three hospitals and over 100 ambulatory clinics.
According to Inpsira executives, this is a significant step toward value-based care.
“We see InspiraOne as more than just a health IT system. It’s the catalyst to dramatically transform how we are able to care for our patients at our more than 100 points of access,” said Inspira President and CEO John DiAngelo. “Since engaging with us after the Siemens Health Services acquisition, Cerner has proven its dedication to help us achieve our goals to improve the quality and safety of our patient care.”

Inspira Health Network will also implement Cerner’s population health management platform, HealtheIntent. This will reportedly help the health system’s efforts toward more patient-centered healthcare by providing physicians with an all-encompassing view of patient health.
Ultimately, these population health management tools will help providers coordinate care across the region, helping to advocate for total patient wellness, Cerner executive Dick Flanigan said.
“Inspira encourages its population to lead healthier lives by creating a culture of proactive health management. The network-wide EHR and population health management platforms will help Inspira manage and engage individuals across the region it serves,” said Flanigan, who is the President of Cerner HS. “We are grateful for the confidence Inspira has shown in Cerner, and we are proud to welcome them to the Cerner family.”
