The CEO of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center will take over as the top executive for Banner Health facilities in Northern Colorado, the company announced Friday.
Margo Karsten will assume the role of chief executive officer for the region, overseeing North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Banner Fort Collins Medical Center and several other smaller properties.
Karsten has been the CEO at the Cheyenne hospital since 2013, and will replace Scott Baker, who has been the interim CEO since the departure of Rick Sutton earlier this year. Baker will resume his duties as vice president of operations for Banner Medical Group’s western division.
Before serving in Cheyenne, Karsten was president and CEO of Creative Health Care Management in Minneapolis, as well as chief nursing officer, chief operating officer and CEO of Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. She was at Poudre Valley Hospital from 1997 to 2005.
