Lynchburg, Va-based Central Health has selected Cerner to implement a health IT system across its five hospitals, more than 50 ambulatory and long-term care facilities, and health plan.
Here are four things to know about the selection.
1. The Cerner Millennium EHR will support Centra’s clinical and revenue cycle processes.
2. In a prepared statement, E.W. Tibbs Jr., president and CEO of Centra, said the health system chose Cerner because “it was the best option to provide our clinicians with a more comprehensive view of a patient’s health history.”
