Just in time for Valentine’s Day, here’s a reason to hate Meaningful Use just a little bit less.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has extended the deadline to attest to achieving Meaningful Use in 2015 by nearly two weeks, to March 11 at 11:59 pm Eastern time. The original deadline had been Feb. 29.
CMS announced the move in an e-mail sent to providers and health IT vendors late Thursday.
The new date is mentioned on the CMS attestation home page, though not on the public page explaining the electronic health records incentive program.
