Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States has entered into an agreement with Stafford Hospital to offer Kaiser members access to the award-winning hospital for healthcare services. Effective Feb. 2, 2014, the agreement provides numerous medical and obstetrical services to Kaiser Permanente members at the newest Mary Washington Healthcare hospital.
“For more than 30 years Kaiser Permanente has been committed to improving the health and wellness of Virginians,” said Kim Horn, president, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States (@KimHornKPMAS). “This new partnership with Stafford Hospital will allow our members in Stafford County to receive high quality care close to home.”
Physicians from the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) will provide obstetrical services 24/7 at the five-year-old hospital. MAPMG physicians will also provide hospitalists around-the-clock.
“Our nationally recognized physicians are proud to partner with Stafford Hospital, the only hospital in Virginia to earn a 2013 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence,” said Bernadette Loftus, MD, associate executive director of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. “We believe added convenience and high quality care is a win-win for individuals and families in Stafford and surrounding areas.”
“We are delighted to team with Kaiser Permanente to give Kaiser members in Stafford County easy access to our healthcare services,” said Cathy Yablonski, senior vice president and Stafford Hospital administrator.
Further extending Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to the Commonwealth, Virginians in Medicaid and FAMIS can now benefit from Kaiser’s award-winning care, conveniently co-located services, interconnected use of technology and nationally ranked physicians.
