Doctors found a blocked artery on former President George W. Bush yesterday, and he had a stent placed this morning to open the blockage, a Bush spokesman announced this morning.
The blockage was discovered during Bush’s annual checkup at Dallas’ Cooper Clinic yesterday. The stent procedure was performed successfully this morning, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Bush will return home tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday, the spokesman wrote in a statement.
“He is grateful to the skilled medical professionals who have cared for him,” the statement read. “He thanks his family, friends, and fellow citizens for their prayers and well wishes. And he encourages us all to get our regular check-ups.”
