Lovelace Health Plan members in Los Lunas now have a clinic in their own back yard.
Lovelace and Atrinea Health, a statewide medical practice, opened the new clinic Monday. The clinic, at 3428 State Highway 47 in Los Lunas, will be for Lovelace members only, and will be operated by Atrinea. It is the third clinic the two firms have jointly opened since October 2012, the two companies said in a news release.
The clinic will operate as a patient-centered medical home where patients will be treated by teams of health care providers.
“This model organizes care around the patient, allowing clinical teams to better coordinate and track care,” said Dr. John Cruickshank, chief medical officer forLovelace Health System, which owns Lovelace Health Plan.

“The clinic will provide a central medical home for the patient instead of focusing solely on providing episodic care.”
The clinic will offer same-day access and focus heavily on preventive care.
Atrinea operates clinics for Lovelace members in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque.
