Augusta native assumes new role
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas will have a new leader in April, with Matt All stepping in to replace the retiring president and CEO.
All, who currently is executive vice president and general counsel, brings more than two decades of health insurance and leadership experience to the position, a company press release said.
All, 46, replaces Andrew C. Corbin, who plans to retire March 31 after more than 41 years in the Blue Cross Blue Shield system, including 31 with BCBS of Kansas, the past 10 leading the organization as president and CEO.
On April 1, All will become the eighth president and CEO in the company’s 75-year history.
Corbin said he is comfortable turning leadership of the company over to All.
“I have tremendous confidence in Matt,” Corbin said in a release. “He has overseen many of the day-to-day operations of this company during the past 11 years, and also brings legal and regulatory experience from his time in state government, as well as a deep understanding of the health insurance market in Kansas.”
All has worked to guide the company through the Affordable Care Act, and he leads the company’s Health Care Reform Guidance Team, representing the company on the national Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s Health Care Reform Implementation Task Force. A fifth-generation Kansan, All, son of David and Priscilla All, was raised in Augusta and now lives in Lawrence. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and his law degree from Yale Law School.
