Austin-based Chiron Health, a provider of video-based, telemedicine services, said this week that it has raised $2.3M in seed funding, and released its iPhone and iPad apps. Source of the seed funding was not announced. Chrion Health, which is led by Andrew O’Hara, says it is focused on helping physicians provide telemedicine services to their existing patients, rather than the current telemedicine model of connecting physicians with patients they have never seen before. The company says its telemedicine apps and service are aimed at strengthening existing, physician-patient relationships.
