In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Harmony Healthcare announces today that founder and CEO Christian Brown will begin his second appointment as Chair of DACCO Behavioral Health’s Advisory Board. A member of the board since 2018, Brown was appointed to his leadership role in April 2019. For 2020, his plans include seeking innovative ways the organization can help families stay together while focusing on mental health and substance abuse challenges.
“With the introduction and addictions created by big pharma combined with the already sad addictions of other Schedule I drugs, DACCO is in the critical position of saving lives and supporting rehabilitation,” Brown said. “They provide an essential part of a healthier and better adjusted population.”
DACCO Behavioral Health provides a variety of services to individuals and families around Tampa Bay. It has received national recognition for its comprehensive coordinated care, and its advisory board provides a curated network of community leaders to strategize opportunities and challenges as clients strive for lifelong recovery.
“Our mental health is just as important as our physical health,” Brown continued. “Mental Health Awareness Month gives organizations like DACCO more opportunities to highlight how we as a community can support better strategies and programs for those who are struggling. I’m proud to be a part of that movement here in Tampa Bay.”
Brown will serve in this role through April 2021 and then plans to pass the leadership torch on while continuing to serve as an advisory board member. He looks forward to cultivating initiatives this year that further his journey in helping the Tampa Bay community.
“Chris has played an integral part of DACCO Behavioral Health’s Advisory Board since April 2018,” Deanna Obregon, CEO of DACCO, said. “He’s now continuing his leadership as our Advisory Chair. He has provided valuable guidance and insight to DACCO’s team. DACCO is looking forward to his continued advice and support as it embarks on its new journey towards becoming a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic and providing a comprehensive collection of mental health and substance use disorder services.”
