The California Medical Association is collaborating with value-based care company Aledade and Blue Shield of California subsidiary Altais in an effort to improve patient outcomes.
The partnership, announced Aug. 29, will pair physician practices with administrative workflow technology, data analytics and services provided by Aledade and Altais. CMA represents more than 44,000 physicians in California.
In addition to collaborating on technology, the organizations will work with California payers on value-based payment arrangements. Blue Shield is the first payer to support the collaboration. It will make a value-based payment agreement available to physicians working with Aledade and Altais in 2020.
