Once again, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is partnering with UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) to sponsor the sixth Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The morning will feature free activities for the entire family including fitness tutorials and exercise tips, health screenings and free flu shots for ages 3 and up. BCBSNM will provide information on health insurance. Other booths will highlight community resources available for health care.
SRMC, located at 3001 Broadmoor Blvd NE in Rio Rancho near the Santa Ana Star Center, will be the site for the fair.
“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico is excited to sponsor this health fair for the residents of Sandoval County again this year,” said Janice Torrez, divisional vice president of external affairs and chief of staff, BCBSNM. “There are so many dedicated organizations that are joining this fair. With the information they are offering we can all learn how to live healthier lives and take better care of ourselves and our families.”
“We are proud to once again provide the services at the health fair for our communities,” said Jamie Silva-Steele, president and chief executive officer for SRMC. “It is one way that we feel we can deliver on our mission while giving back.”
