Aetna Inc. is currently planning to move its headquarters out of Connecticut. While speaking on this the chief executive officer (CEO), Mark Bertolini of Aetna said that moving the Aetna Headquarters out of Connecticut will going to have ‘minimal impact’ on their Connecticut employee base.
Aetna headquarters move will have ‘minimal impact!’

A glimpse on Aetna!
Aetna is an American managed healthcare company that sells consumer directed and traditional healthcare insurance plans and its related services, which include medical, dental, pharmaceutical, behavioral health, long-term care, and even disability plans. Further, Aetna is also a member of the Fortune 100.
In negotiation with several states!
CEO Bertolini further announced that the company is in negotiations with several other states in order to move its headquarters out of Hartford. It should be noted here that the Aetna Headquarters has been based in Hartford for nearly two centuries. The company expects to have an agreement for the same by summer.
While Bertolini said that the new Aetna Headquarters project is representing an ‘exciting opportunity’ for the company, but he is stressing that the health insurance giant will remain committed to the Hartford community.
Hartford struggling!
Hartford has been struggling with its identity for more than 2 decades now, and perhaps longer. Further its reputation as a center of banking and insurance has also been waned. The city was not in the league of a New York or a Boston, but having the Aetna headquarters certainly gave Hartford stature.
