Reliant Medical Group Votes to Partner With Optum

On 9 May, the physician of organization unanimously voted to approve the plan for acquisition and proceed. According to reports, in the month of April, the group’s board of trustees approved the deal.
2. Deal Requires Regulatory Approval
Both the organization will move towards signing a final acquisition agreement. But the proposed deal is subject to approval from the regulatory. According to the WBJO report, if the deal gets approved, Reliant would continue to be locally administered and retain its brand.
3. Reliant Has No Plans To Terminate Old Employees
As the Boston Business Journal reports, Reliant employs 2,500 workers, which includes 500 physicians. The company generated $556 million in revenue in the year 2014. The company doesn’t have any plans to terminate any of its employees, said a spokesperson for Reliant.
