UnitedHealth Group announced changes to the leadership team at UnitedHealthcare and Optum. This revamping was done during the company’s earnings call last month. It included naming new CEOs for its insurance, care-provider and pharmacy-benefits businesses. Here are the details of how UnitedHealth Group revamps the leadership team.
According to UnitedHealth CEO Stephen Hemsley, the organization revamps its executive team every two to three years. Hemsley said;
“We develop and think about these changes in advance. We kind of evolve them in our organization. We do these things when things are really, I think, in strong order. And I think our tradition has been to do these every two, between two years and three years. And we’re excited about it, and I think it provides fresh new focus, a lot of energy. And we have a tremendous leadership team, great depth.”
