BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York has announced the start of Point of Health, a free audiocast featuring thought leaders in health care and the health insurance industry, according to a recent press release.
The first local health plan to launch an audiocast will offer listeners a variety of perspectives on key topics and issues in the rapidly changing health care industry.
Listeners can access 15-minute episodes of Point of Health bimonthly through BlueCross BlueShield’s website.
According to the release, research suggests that podcasting is now the fastest-growing means of communication on the internet, with one in five Americans now listening to a podcast monthly, a 23 percent increase between 2015 and 2016, and 88 percent of those individuals listen to most or all episodes in a series.
