The New Mexico public health insurance exchange, also known as beWellnm.com has a new interim CEO.
Last month the former CEO Amy Dowd, who joined beWellnm.com in August 2014, announced she was leaving for a job with Molina Healthcare Inc. Molina is a big managed healthcare company specializing in government programs such as Medicare.
While the beWellnm.com board of directors looks for a permanent replacement the board has named Linda Wedeen as interim CEO. She currently serves as beWellnm’s senior director of communications, marketing and outreach.
She also has worked as executive director of New Mexico Cancer Foundation, worldwide executive communications manager for Hewlett Packard and senior vice president of strategic marketing for First Community Bank.
The board of directors also has named a search committee to find and hire the next CEO. Committee members include directors Dan Foley, Terriane Everhart and Eva Jean Fomalont and New Mexico superintendent of insurance John Franchini.
