The Scott & White Health Plan has a new chief executive.
Jeffrey Ingrum will begin as CEO of the plan on April 25. He comes to Baylor Scott & White from the Illinois-based Carle Foundation’s Health Alliance Medical Plans, of which he also led as chief. He’s taking the reins of an insurance provider that includes PPO, HMO, and short-term health plan options. It covers about 300,000 Texans, and offers a network of providers and care sites throughout north and central Texas.
In a release announcing the hire, Baylor Scott & White praised Ingrum for growing the health plan in Illinois and maturing it into a “preeminent provider-sponsored health plan.” He helped shift the model from fee for service to fee for value and got doctors and customers to participate.
“Jeff has a strong history of effectively managing and growing health plans to benefit both members and the community,” read a statement Joel Allison, president and CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health. “His background in health plan and health care finance and his record of excellence make him a great fit for our organization and for improving the health of those we serve across this great state.”
Ingrum has a master’s degree in health services administration and a bachelor’s in business. He will office in Temple.
