Dan Loepp, who has been the president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for 10 years, has been chosen as this year’s De La Salle Collegiate High School honoree for its annual Christian Brothers’ Dinner.
The Christian Brothers’ Dinner is attended by nearly 1,000 men, including alumni, fathers of current students, and other friends of De La Salle and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Proceeds from the event, which includes a silent auction, benefit the school’s tuition assistance program.
This year’s dinner will be held April 28 at Penna’s of Sterling Heights, 38400 Van Dyke Ave. Tickets cost $200 in advance and $225 at the door. Tables of 10 are available. Preferred seating is available with advance payment only. Payment must be received in the DLS advancement department by April 11.
Loepp, who graduated from the all-boys Catholic high school in 1975, also is the chairman of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association board of directors. He has been a key supporter of De La Salle and the Lasallian Mission of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
“Dan Loepp exemplifies everything that is good and true about Lasallian secondary education. Dan is a person who lives his faith each day,” DLS President John Knight said in a prepared statement. “On behalf of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, the board of trustees and the entire De La Salle Collegiate community, we are delighted to bestow the honor of the Christian Brothers’ award on Daniel Loepp.”
