Medecision, a Wayne, Pa.-based maker of population health software, said it is partnering with Forward Health Group, marking the second major partnership in the past week for the Madison-based start-up.
Forward Health said last week it was partnering with Oracle. In both cases, the partners will use Forward Health’s PopulationManager software to help extract, cleanse and validate data from multiple systems for presentation to providers, who use it to identify areas of focus with patients.
“We have selected Forward Health Group as a result of our rigorous due diligence process, as well as its market leading position and deep domain expertise in the growing population health solutions segment,” said Jonathan Sheldon, an Oracle vice president, when that partnership was announced. “Together, we help health care organizations address their key challenges, while gaining control of disparate enterprise data sources and implementing best practices health care data governance.”
Each of the partnering companies are at the 2016 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas this week, health care technology’s biggest conference. It is a dynamic time for the industry because many believe computing advances and better analytics are poised to reform business models.
