Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska came in last among health insurers in its region for customer service.
The non-profit health insurance company scored 619 points out of a possible 1,000 in the J.D. Power 2015 Member Health Plan Study. That was last among the 10 health insurers ranked in the Heartland Region, which covers Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, and next to last among all companies nationwide.
In a statement, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska said it strives to exceed its customers’ expectations and is not satisfied with the 2015 J.D. Power survey results. “Enhancing the customer experience is one of our top strategic priorities. We will continue to deliver exceptional customer service and are confident we will improve our J.D. Power ranking in the future,” the statement said.
