Health leaders want to make sure no one will see a break in coverage.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont joined Community Health Centers of Burlington to run educational sessions for Somali and Nepali speakers.
A handful of people were there.
This is important because of that looming deadline for coverage. People who attended can now act as a communicator to the rest of their community.
“When you’re dealing with it when you’re coming from another perspective that didn’t have terms like co-pays & deductibles, that’s quite a process to explain those terms,” Megan Peek, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont said.
Organizers thank the help from the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program. They hope to do more of these sessions in the future.
