The affiliation process, initiated with a letter of intent last summer, has undergone rigorous scrutiny, including due diligence, public forums, and review by the Minnesota Attorney General’s office. It has received all necessary governmental approvals.
As part of the affiliation, Aspirus Health has committed to honoring existing contracts, investing $300 million over eight years into St. Luke’s strategic projects, implementing the Epic electronic medical record system, and expanding its health plan into St. Luke’s service area within two years.
Patient care and services will continue uninterrupted, with current providers remaining accessible. Both organizations emphasize their shared mission to serve their communities, seeing the affiliation as a means to strengthen their ability to adapt and evolve to meet evolving healthcare needs.
