Pennsylvania-based behavioral health company NeuroFlow has partnered with New Jersey-based Atlantic Health System to implement a collaborative care model for adult behavioral health patients across 16 accountable care organization (ACO) sites. NeuroFlow’s cloud-based platform enables healthcare providers to track, assess, and connect with patients remotely, offering AI-driven clinical decision support. Initially, the focus will be on migrating Atlantic Health System’s clinical workflow to NeuroFlow’s caseload management tool, followed by the launch of the collaborative care program. NeuroFlow has previously partnered with Emory Healthcare and received significant funding for its innovative solutions in behavioral health.

NeuroFlow’s cloud-based platform allows healthcare providers to track, assess and connect with patients between traditional office visits. The company also offers AI-driven clinical decision support with recommendations for the next steps for individual patients.
The partners will initially focus on migrating the healthcare system’s clinical workflow to NeuroFlow’s caseload management tool.

Beginning in June, Atlantic Health will utilize NeuroFlow to support adult behavioral health patients in its ACOs and Atlantic Health System-affiliated Optimus Healthcare Partners ACOs. In the months following, younger patients will be enrolled, and the partners will launch the collaborative care program.
“As more healthcare providers shift to an integrated approach to care – putting behavioral health on an even plane with physical health – we’re in a great position to complement the workflow of busy clinical teams who often lack the digital infrastructure and workflow tools to manage patient care. We’re excited to launch at 16 sites with Atlantic Health, with the potential to expand further in 2024,” Adam Pardes, chief operating officer at NeuroFlow, told MobiHealthNews in an email.
THE LARGER TREND
In May, NeuroFlow announced a similar partnership with Georgia-based healthcare system Emory Healthcare to scale Emory’s collaborative care model in its integrated behavioral health program and pilot a primary care suicide prevention program. Patients of Emory would also have access to psychotherapy content between scheduled visits.
In October, NeuroFlow secured a $25 million growth investment, bringing its total funding to $32 million. The prior year, the company scored $20 million in Series B financing and $7.5 million in Series A funding.
In February, NeuroFlow was one of 10 companies to receive funding from the VA for its Mission Daybreak initiative, which focused on utilizing technology to help prevent suicides within the veteran population.
In 2021, NeuroFlow announced a collaboration with CirrusMD, a startup offering on-demand, text-based telehealth. CirrusMS would leverage NeuroFlow’s clinical decision support platform, patient engagement tools and intervention services.
