Tauriga Sciences Inc. (OTCQB: TAUG) (“Tauriga” or the “Company”), a revenue generating company that operates through the development, distribution, and licensing of proprietary products as well as the evaluation of potential acquisition opportunities and equity investments, today announced that it has been approved by the Dutch retail conglomerate Ahold Delhaize (“Ahold”) to become a Direct Supplier. As a result, the Company has established direct distribution channels to Ahold’s main U.S. based supermarket brands: Stop & Shop, Hannaford, Giant, Food Lion, and Peapod. Tauriga’s corporate profile, as well as products & product lines, are now accessible by Ahold buyers.
The Company is continually focused on building direct distribution channels to the retail marketplace. Especially with respect to the larger retailers with regional or national footprints, as such efforts preserve strong gross margins as the core business continues to expand. The compilation of these substantial direct distribution channels also enhances the Company’s position in consummating potential joint venture partnerships and synergistic mergers & acquisitions.
The Company is currently in several substantive discussions with potential joint venture partners, with an aim towards creating new business opportunities and diversifying existing revenue streams. One such opportunity of particular interest relates to an innovative producer of plant-based meat product(s).
