ESO Acquires Trauma Registry Software Clinical Data Management

ESO, an Austin, TX-based data and software company serving emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments and hospitals, announces it has acquired Clinical Data Management (CDS) to extend its product portfolio in the trauma registry market. By combining the assets, expertise and customer base of Clinical Data Management with newly acquired Digital Innovation and Lancet, ESO will have the largest portfolio of state trauma registries in the United States and will deliver a world’s first – the ability to see time-sensitive emergencies and patient data from the first 911 call for help all the way through a patient leaving the hospital.

Comprehensive Trauma Registry Solutions

CDM has been in the business of providing comprehensive Trauma Registry software systems to hospitals, states and/or regions for 30 years. The registry system verifies hospital data for accuracy, meet state or regional data collection requirements, products state and/or regional electronic export files, performance improvement track and maintain the gold standard with customization features and technical support features

ESO to Acquire All of CDM’s Trauma-Related Solutions

In addition to the company’s flagship product, TraumaBase, ESO will also acquire all of Clinical Data Management’s trauma-related software products, including the company’s state trauma registry and customers. The combination of Digital Innovation, Clinical Data Management and Lancet’s technology and trauma data with ESO’s industry-leading ESO EHR and award-winning ESO HDE will provide both EMS and hospitals with a comprehensive patient picture that will allow both providers and hospital staff to make the most informed decisions when it comes to patient care. Additionally, EMS and the hospital will have access to outcomes data that will improve the quality of care.

ESO serves more than 13,000 fire departments, EMS agencies and hospitals throughout the U.S. The company’s healthcare, safety, and technology experts deliver the most reliable, innovative and easy-to-use software and data solutions on the market, including the industry-leading ESO Electronic Health Record (EHR); ESO Health Data Exchange (HDE), the first-of-its-kind healthcare interoperability platform; record management system (RMS) for fire departments; and ambulance revenue recovery/billing software.
