Science Interactive Group (SIG), a portfolio company of Millpond Equity Partners and Wasena Capital and a provider of educational content, products and services to the higher education and K12 markets, has acquired eScience Labs (ESL), a leading provider of distance learning science lab kits and curriculum used worldwide. With the acquisition, SIG will be the largest, most comprehensive provider of lab products and services to the distance education market.
SIG has merged eScience Labs with SIG subsidiary Hands-On Labs (HOL), a provider of experiential learning since 1994, to become the market leader in providing online lab science experiments and curricula for higher-education institutions. By combining customizable lab kits with digital lab content delivered through its proprietary HOL Cloud platform, Hands-On Labs replicates a tactile lab experience for distance learners. With the addition of new resources from eScience Labs, colleges and universities can deliver an authentic lab experience using at-home science lab kits and engaging, interactive digital content that covers 10 disciplines with 1,100 ADA-compliant lab activities. The curriculum, materials and support services provided by SIG give instructors and institutions a fully customizable and logistics-free distance learning solution, enabling them to teach more, reach more and achieve more.

SIG is the leading provider in online education, where enrollment has increased for 14 consecutive years. The acquisition was official in September and integration has since been completed. The combined ESL and HOL serve more than 950 higher education institutions.
