Alongside funding, the program will provide Israeli startups with mentorship and training
London-listed pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca PLC has launched a program for investing in the digital health sector in Israel, AstraZeneca announced Wednesday. As part of the program, called BeyondBio, the company intends to make a first investment estimated at NIS 10 million (approximately $2.8), according to a statement. Alongside funding, the program will provide Israeli startups with mentorship and training.
The program is operated in collaboration with Israel-based venture capital firm Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP); Israel Initiative 2020 (ii2020), a nonprofit founded by JVP founder Erel Margalit; Maccabitech, the research and innovation wing of Israeli health maintenance organization Maccabi Healthcare Services; Israeli businessman Morris Kahn; the Sagol Fund; and Microsoft.
